IBEX Technology, based in Japan, provides Video Codec IPs, IC design services and consulting such as ASIC and large scale FPGA design, PCBs, etc. IBEX has developed a wide variety of video codecs such as MPEG-2, H.264/AVC, Apple ProRes, Avid DNxHD , SONY XAVC, Panasonic AVC-Intra and H.265/HEVC. IBEX Technology has track record mainly in the broadcast equipment industry, which requires high quality, reliability and stability.
IBEX was founded in 1985 in Atsugi, Kanagawa, Japan and is recognized as a leader in the fields of LSI and video systems design. In the past, our major customers were Japanese television manufacturers and broadcasters and we provided our video codec IP for ASIC. We would like to point out that in the last 10 years we have been focusing on rather the FPGA side. Because the FPGA performance is improved enough for the video codec application and the cost is more competitive than before. Nowadays IBEX has provided IP for FPGA to the customers worldwide.
